Katrina Kaif lamented that India still has gender inequality even after having a woman head of state way before UK while US never even had one. Speaking at the We Unite conference, which marks UN Women's partnership with the IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Katrina said that women should not silently face atrocities and must speak up about issues like martial rape and other crimes committed against them. The actor said that sometimes even educated women succumb to the pressure of societal norms and remain silent on issues which should be raised.
