Top Bollywood Actresses Come Together For India’s ‘I Am Girl Rising’ Campaign.

Contemporary actresses including Kareena Kapoor, Nandita Das, Madhuri Dixit-Nene, Parineeti Chopra, Sushmita Sen, and Alia Bhatt set their differences aside to come together and support Priyanka Chopra in the India Girl Rising Campaign – Woh Padegi Woh Udegi. The ‘Girl Rising’ India campaign – that promotes higher education for girls in India – has become a strong force to bring together Bollywood divas for the larger humanitarian good. Together the actresses will be seen promoting Woh Padegi, Who Udegi initiative on Star Plus on Saturday August 29, 2015 at 1.30pm India timing. The campaign forms part of the worldwide Girl Rising initiative. The actresses including Priyanka Chopra, cousin Parineeti Chopra and Shaandaar actress Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to pledge their support to the girls’ education campaign in India. “Contrary to the belief that actresses don’t get along, it just took one phone call to get these amazing ladies on board,” said Priyanka Chopra on Twitter thanking all the Bollywood actresses.
