This year, five out of the six pieces in the competitive festival category called Storyscapes are VR experiences viewed wearing a head mounted display (HMD). The Tribeca Film Festival, which takes place April 19-30, has been the premier curator of cutting-edge interactive storytelling from the first film shot entirely on a cell phone in 2007 to spotlighting independent online content creators. Storyscapes is inside the Festival's Virtual Arcade on the fifth floor of the Tribeca Festival Hub, located at 50 Varick Street.
