The Internet, especially social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter, are the abodes of those trying to poke fun, troll and bully others, sitting behind the guard of their desktop or mobile screens. But every now and then, somebody’s post on social media might warm the cockles of our hearts, mostly because they reflect the sheer goodness in those people.

An elderly cancer survivor, Aruna PK won Twitter users with her Twitter thread on why she likes people of different regions of India. A quick look at her profile on the micro-blogging site will show she is “battling cancer with a smile” and quite true to her bio, her beaming face appears at the top left of the screen. A fairly active Twitter user, she took to Twitter recently to write a thread that is around 15 tweets long on the particular reasons she likes different people of India.

According to Aruna's official blog, she was diagnosed with third stage ovarian cancer in February 2011. She is a brave woman who is extremely fond of superstar Shah Rukh Khan who she claims can make her ‘fine’ again. In one of her tweets, Aruna had written, “No love is greater than the love for SRK. If I would meet him I’ll be just fine.” The tweet made her followers want to help her dream come true.

And now, it is her photo on a hospital bed smiling a contagious smile that is now going viral on the Internet. That, along with the hashtag #SRKMeetsAruna and a sketch that shows Aruna and King Khan together. All she wishes is to meet the actor once and the Internet users are doing all that it takes for this to happen.

Later, Shah Rukh took to social media to send a message to Aruna through his fan page and said that he is praying for her speedy recovery.

"I'm made to understand through your son Akshat and daughter Priyanka that you are fighting with an illness. I want to say this that me, my whole family, all our friends whoever knows about you, we are praying for your wellness," Shah Rukh said in the video. Will #SRKmeetsAruna really happen?
