An Acid Attack Survivor’s Dream Of Owning A Salon’s Coming True Thanks To Miranda House Students

Soniya Choudhary survived a horrific acid attack that left her face damaged. And she wants to make sure other people look and feel their best. A fighter by nature, this beautician wants to set up and run her own salon. And making her dreams come true are the young women studying in Miranda House. A group of students from the Delhi-based college for women are currently crowdsourcing funds to help Soniya.Dindi Padi, one of the students who is helping raise the money, spoke to the Hindustan Times and noted that they undertook the project after doing their due research. She said, “We conducted a survey to know if people will like to go to a salon, which is run by acid attack survivors and received a positive feedback because all they were interested in was quality services. This gave us the courage to go ahead with our plan.”
