GIRLS are kidnapped and sexually abused, the perpetrators walk away without being arrested, capital offences like murder and rape are never followed up. Drunkenness, polygamy and decision are made by men, if these issues are not addressed Uganda will not attain Vision 2040. These and other testimonies by women activists are clear indicators that Uganda will not attain the country’s Vision 2040.
“Our men are still making decision for us, how shall we be able to come up and fight for our rights” Grace Loumo the chairperson, Action for Women and Awakening Rural Environment (AWARE), Kotido lamented.
