They are conducting health disparities research focused on three distinct conditions: maternal and child health, atrial fibrillation and traumatic injuries under the leadership of UMass Medical School third-year MD/PhD student Apurv Soni and Nisha Fahey, a medical student at Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
