KOCHI: Over the past 32 years, Cochin Carnival has become one of the most important events in Fort Kochi’s festival calendar. But it has long been considered male dominated, be it the kind of programmes, organization or even participation. This year, the carnival committee has decided to make the celebration more inclusive and ensure equal participation of all genders, including sexual minorities from the LGBT community.
