The Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP), its blueprint for growth, launched in 2010, has so far focused on environmental impact, health, hygiene and ethical sourcing. Now, the company, which employs 1,74,000 people globally, is expanding the scope and depth of this 10-year plan by embracing complex issues on human rights, and providing a greater thrust on livelihoods. This expansion of the USLP manifests in the addition of three new pillars under enhancing livelihoods: fairness in the workplace, opportunities for women and inclusive business.
