Up Next: 1-Stop Crisis Centre For Women

Indore will soon have the first One Stop Crisis Centre (OSCC) for women in distress. According to officials from women and child development department, Union government has recently sanctioned around Rs 56.01 lakh for this scheme.
Work for the centre will commence in May this year. The centre will be set up in an independent building at RajkiyaBalSanrakshan Ashram's premises. Survivors of rape, dowry harassment and domestic violence will get medical and lega; aid at the centre. Women empowerment officer Sanjay Bharadwaj told TOI, "Women, who are survivors of molestation, rape or have experienced violence, and are unwilling to go to a police station, can get all assistance at one place while maintaining their privacy."
