Dr. Francis Zotor, Acting Dean of School of Public Health, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Thursday advised men to show interest in the nutrition of their pregnant wives. He said malnourished pregnant women could deliver babies with low birth weight and this could result in stunted growth and compromised mental capacities. Dr. Zotor said this at a day’s forum on “Open Ghana: Data Journalism for Improved Maternal Healthcare Delivery” in Ho for media practitioners, civil society organizations, community-based organizations, health officials and the academia. The forum was organised by the International Institute of ICT Journalism-Penplusbytes with support from STAR-Ghana.
