A series of videos show fictional forecasts from Europe, the US and Africa charting large-scale droughts, typhoons, floods and deadly heatwaves. The films have been released by the World Meteorological Organisation ahead of the UN Climate Summit in three weeks. WMO secretary-general Michel Jarraud said: "They paint a compelling picture of what life could be like on a warmer planet." Experts fear the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere could rise by 4C by the end of this century if greenhouse gas emissions keep rising.
