Yusuf/Cat Stevens Donates Song To PETA

Singer-songwriter Yusuf / Cat Stevens has donated his very first hit song — “I Love My Dog,” which recently marked its 50th anniversary — for PETA to use in abrand-new video in celebration of National “Adopt a Shelter Pet” Day on April 30. “I love my dog as much as I love you. But you may fade—my dog will always come through,” Yusuf sings. “All the pay I need comes shining through his eyes.” As the music plays, PETA’s video shows the bond between a man and his adopted canine best friend.
