He was here at Kurukshetra University to address students and teachers of the science stream. ?As per the report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), rise in temperatures would affect 'beach tourism' in many countries and it will also affect the lives of the 50 per cent of the world population, which resides within 60 km of beaches,? said Dhindasa. ?Climate change is not just about the future. A report says it has directly affected livelihood and reduced food grain production. These trends will accelerate if climate change is unchecked,? he added.
