Hasee Toh Phasee – Enjoy Parineeta Chopra – Dynamite of Acting

Hasee Toh Phasee is a very refreshing movie (Karan Johar style) with romance, emotions, A class humour. And above all Parineeta Chopra’s suberb acting and Sidharth Malhotra’s charm and very restrained performance. 

Sidharth Malhotra is in love with Adah Sharma who promises to marry him if he bags the contract for Event Management for IPL for which he needs to pay Rs. 5 crores.  He has few days left for the same before wedding.  He tries to borrow the same from Manoj Joshi (Adah’s father) & other sources but doesn’t succeed. 

Here comes the twist.  Parineeta Chopra (younger sister of Adah) who had run away with money from her home for her project to China is back due to non payment of Rs. 10 crores to her Chinese counterpart.  Adah instructs Sidharth to rent  a hotel for her sister Parineeti so that she doesn’t come back home.  Parineeti is a nervous wreck who is addicted to anti depression pills and plans to steal Rs. 10 crores by hacking her dad’s account.  Sidharth feels sorry for Parineeti after knowing about her past and tries to help her in every way and slowly they both fall in love. But Sidharth doesn’t admit his love to Parineeti since he is committed to her sister Adah. 

 

Revealing the whole story will spoil the fun.  The chemistry between Parineeti & Sidharth is superb.  Few scenes about daughter – father (Parineeti & Manoj Joshi) relation will make you cry.  And lots of superb humourous scenes will make you laugh like mad and the romance between Parineeti – Sidharth will make your heart really go Cuckin Frazy.  The wedding atmosphere throughout the movie is superb – Karan Johar is the master of such atmospheres in most of his movies. The side character artists are really standout & hilarious.  A Gujju character meeting anyone and always asking – Aur Baaki. Another one – who sings Anu Malik’s songs, Sidharths 2 friends, Sharat Saxena as retired Police Officer, Tinnu Anand (in a short cameo) as a wealthy maverick business tycoon. 

After watching this movie, you will feel proud of Bollywood and realize that there is a lot of talent in Bollywood. Vinil Mathew (the Director) – we await more such types of enjoyable movies from you.  Parineeti Chopra – just 3 words – Dynamite of acting, Sidharth Malhotra – silent and subtle actor.  Adah Sharma – pretty looks and good acting. And above all Manoj Joshi as Parineeti’s dad who loves & supports her in spite of resistance from other family members.
